Meet Roki: the sloth behind Connected Travel by Rochelle & Kiri
If you’ve spent any time on our social media, you’ve probably noticed a small sloth appearing in our travel photos.
Meet Roki — the official mascot of Connected Travel by Rochelle & Kiri
He may not help us book flights or plan itineraries, but he has become a much-loved part of our business & often joins us on our travels around the world. Whether we’re visiting luxury resorts, exploring new destinations, or attending travel industry events, Roki is usually not far behind.
Why a sloth?
This is the question we get asked most often.
The answer is actually twofold.
First, Roki represents something we genuinely believe in: travel planning should feel easy. Your holiday may be filled with adventure, excitement, & unforgettable experiences, but organising it shouldn’t be stressful. Our goal is to make the entire process feel effortless, so you can enjoy the anticipation of your trip while we take care of the details.
The second reason?
Let’s just say sloths began as a private joke between us, one Christmas evening over many wines . Somehow, that joke evolved into a mascot that now travels the world with us. It’s a story we’re keeping to ourselves for now, but perhaps one day we’ll share more!
Roki’s travel adventures
Roki has become our tiny travel companion, joining us at travel showcases, supplier events & educational trips across the globe.
He has already been on a few trips this year, locally & interstate to Cairns, with Kiri. Bu he is about to embark on his biggest adventure yet. Exploring South Africa, Zimbabwe & Kenya with Rochelle. From safari vehicles & luxury lodges to iconic landmarks & incredible wildlife encounters, Roki will be experiencing many of the destinations we recommend to our clients.
Think of him as our very own travel reporter, just a little fluffier :)
Why we travel before we recommend
One of the things that sets Connected Travel by Rochelle & Kiri apart is that we love experiencing destinations firsthand. Visiting hotels, touring lodges, meeting local partners & exploring each destination ourselves allows us to give our clients genuine recommendations based on real experiences.
Roki simply makes those research trips a little more fun & cute. And he gets a lot of attention.
